Surveillance Systems
............................................................................................................
Surveillance systems can be a single camera viewed on a monitor to multiple
cameras being recorded on a hard-drive and being viewed over the internet.
-
Cameras Conventional cameras are a visual deterrant normally used in a commercial
application.
These cameras can be located indoors or outdoors.
-
Dome Cameras Dome Cameras are a vandal-proof camera and are also less obtrusive than
conventional cameras. These cameras are typically used for residential
applications and can also be located indoors or outdoors.
-
Covert Cameras Covert cameras or nanny cameras can be located just about anywhere within
clocks, smoke-detectors, motion-detectors, exit signs or with a pin-hole
lens behind any housing. These types of cameras are only located indoors.
-
Digital Video Recorder (DVR)
Surveillance systems will record the images onto a DVR and these images can
then be viewed on a monitor typically located at the DVR. The DVR hard-drive
will be determined by how many cameras are on the system. The images can
also be viewed on another monitor located elsewhere on the premises or can
be modulated onto your cable television system so as to be viewed on all of
the television sets within the premises. If high-speed internet is
subscribed to on-site, the DVR can be set up to be viewed from anywhere else
world-wide, as long as the off-site location also has high-speed internet
capabilities.
